Scratch is a coding website that allows students to create their own interactive stories, games and animations. As students design Scratch projects, they learn to think creatively, reason systematically, and work collaboratively.
Today Richard from UTB (Using Technology Better) came to class to teach the students how to create using Scratch. Lots of the students had used Scratch before, but Richard taught them some new tricks to make their Scratch creations more personal and successful.
He taught the students how to create a ‘Personal Sprite’ using their own photo. He showed the students how to take a photo using their chromebooks and then how to remove the background of the photo – remove.bg. The students then inserted themselves into their Scratch pepeha. They have a bit of work to do but they learnt so much. Thank you Richard!!
